Pepperoni Pizza on Tandoori Naan


To be honest, I feel a little silly posting this. I mean, it’s nothing special really, just a simple pizza easily thrown together. But, it is also phenomenally good. Sometimes the right kind of simple ingredients are all you need to create some of the best dishes that you keep coming back to. This is one for me.

3 Pieces of Tandoori Naan Bread (Plain or Garlic)
8 Oz. (1/2 Can) Muir Glen Crushed Tomatoes (or Pizza or Tomato Sauce)
6 Oz. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
15-20 Pepperoni Slices

The naan bread is the star of the show in this pizza. Find it your local market’s bakery (I’ve gotten it at Central Market and Trader Joe’s before). It also is the perfect size for creating little personal pizzas. Bring the kiddos in and let them create their own masterpiece (I’ll often get the mini pepperoni slices for my little ones to use). They will feel like master chefs and love every bite of it too!

Spread the tomato sauce on the naan bread and then layer the cheese and pepperoni. Place in the center of your oven with broil on high (do not put it directly under the broiler as it will likely burn too quickly). It will cook fast, probably only 6-8 mins. When the cheese gets bubbly and begins to brown, remove and enjoy!
